Kelly Correll is a Portland, OR based artist and musician. She works primarily in the areas of drawing, painting, mixed media, and music/sound. Her recent work is a reflection on magick, symbolism, obsession, gender, and the breakdown of systems within an absencescape. She is the front-woman for the post-punk band, Esses.
Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Kelly was exposed to art in its many iterations as an early age. She started performing as a child and moved into visual art and music in the late 1990’s. She holds a BFA in painting/drawing from the California College of the Arts, as well as an AA in textile design from FIDM. She has been showing her work professionally since 1999.
Kelly lives in Portland with her partner - photographer and fellow musician - Kevin Brown, their two sons, two fat cats, and a bearded dog named, Twig.
